American Old Timers Clubs, Inc.

History

The American Old Timers Clubs, Inc. was founded in 1988. The American Old Timer Clubs, Inc. extends theirs thanks to the National Old Timers Clubs, Inc.

We are forever grateful and appreciative that a group of basketball enthusiast came together in 1963 sharing a vision and formulated the National Old Timers Basketball League.

The National Old Timers would expand from the four (4) chapters Wilmington, Delaware, Baltimore, Maryland, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Atlantic City, New Jersey to sixteen (16) chapters by 1986.

At the end of the 1988 season, the western teams consisting of Columbus, Dayton, Akron, Ohio Allegheny and Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and Baltimore Maryland, seceded from the National Old Timers Clubs, Inc. and formed the American Old Timers Clubs, Inc.

The American Old Timers Clubs, Inc. has been successful over the past twenty five years expanding from seven (7) to eighteen (18) chapters.

During the progression of the Basketball League the American Old Timers implemented a new Legends Division for 45 and over and a Masters Divisions for 50 and over members.

The league tipped off the 2005-2006 season with twelve (12) teams in the Open 35 and over Division and ten (10) teams in the 45 and over Legend Division.
